Hello All,
Wow. What an amazing week we have had.
We did several fantastic adoptions. We are now at 314.
Helina (calico kitten) & Eddie (B/W DMH) both went home together. The spent a few days sharing a cage before they went home and did wonderful together. They will have a fantastic time with each other and their new mom.
We also adopted out Essence, one of our Katrina rescue girls. Her new mom (a friend of Helina & Eddie's mom) has another girl kitty for Essence to be friends with. Very sweet woman. Essence will be very loved by her new mom. She goes home Tuesday.
Ethan, one of our very sweet black kitties, went home today. He was adopted last week and picked up today following his neuter. His new parents have already begun to spoil him. They came by a few times before they actually took him home to bring him toys and love on him. That precious cat has already stolen their hearts.
Our two Chihuahua girls, Mindy and Michaela, were adopted today together. Their new dad is a Chihuahua freak and already has one of his own. The girls enjoyed him and I think will have a great life in their new home.
Pumpkin, our little orange & white kitty girl was adopted by a nice girl and will have another crazy cat friend to play with. With a feisty personality like that, I am sure she will give her new cat brother a run for his money!
And our beautiful big white bundle of love, Shere Khan, was adopted today. Also a Katrina rescue, he had a lot of people looking out for him to get him to Salise, who brought him to Houston. After being neutered and spending a little time with us, he has become a big baby who just wants to love on everyone and eat his wet food. His new dad was from New Orleans who evacuated with his wife and two cats. (Also two big boy eating machines). They have settled into a new life here in Houston and really enjoyed Shere Khan. When he came by to talk to us again today he picked up Shere Khan and held him like a baby. Shere Khan seemed to really enjoy him and away they went.
What a great week. Thank you to everyone who works so hard volunteering your valuable time to be with our animals. We couldn't do this without the help of our amazing volunteers and foster parents.
