    REVOLUTIONIZING ANIMAL CARE IN HOUSTON

    Hi, it's me, Stanley!

My new family wanted me to let you know that things are fantastic! They say I'm a true joy to have in their home (no surprise there if you ask me) and my new cat doc says I'm very healthy for a cat of my age (I could say the same for her)! I've grown quite comfortable in my new two-story pad...haven't decided which floor I like best yet. I've discovered the joy of wet food, constant affection, wrapping myself around the heads of my new humans, and watching Animal Planet. I guess my new family recently experienced the loss of their elderly cat, and they say I am really helping them recover from their sadness. Thanks, FFL!

I just wanted to let you all know that Greta is doing just fine! We re-named her Gracie, and I am sending a few pictures we took a couple of weeks ago. (We have newer ones, but I am still learning how to use the camera, and this is all I have for now!) We love her! She is very sweet and very smart. She caught on to the whole potty training thing very quickly, with only a few accidents in the house. She loves to just hop up on the couch and rest her head on one of the pillows! She also likes to hang out under the kitchen table - I think she is SO hoping that something will fall onto the floor for her! She now weighs about 37 pounds - up from the 20 pounds when we first got her.

    Best, The Kadin Family

Rascal's been doing really well. He continues to have a lot of energy, and nothing makes him happier than a day spent playing with other dogs at the dog park! He's working hard to learn to walk on a leash, and seems to enjoy pulling his cart around. He's great at following instructions and really wants to do the right thing. Enjoy the pictures!

Here's a picture of Brudette enjoying life with one of her new humans! Looking good!

We wanted to let you know that Jane is adjusting great! She is such a sweet, sweet dog, and is adapting to family life quite nicely. We can't wait to test outher smarts in doggy training classes! Thanks again for choosing us to be Janes family. We just adore her!

Hi...it's me Houdini (you might remember me as Louie). Just wanted you to know that things are working out ideally in my new home! The black and white photo is of me and my new brother/BFF. We've gotten pretty close, as you can see.

Hi, it's Everen here. I'm really enjoying life in Houston, though being able to tell folks that I'm originally from Turkey makes for pretty good conversation. Hope you like these photos of me in my new home and with my new brother, Gary (it's an action shot, that's why it's blurry)!

    Love, Everen

Cecily (Ceci, now) is a very happy, active cat who loves to chase the "mysterious" laser light and yet can still strike a pose when she needs to. She and Dolce (our black cat) can usually be found sitting next to each other in the living room looking out our bay window, but she really prefers the window perch we set up for her in the front bedroom. It is amazing how fast Ceci's attitude changed when we brought her home that day. As soon as I took her out of the carrier, she transformed into a completing different cat than that which we saw at the shelter. My belief all along that she would be a good cat was confirmed almost immediately. I took care to first show her where the liter box and scratching post were located. She quickly investigated her new home, walking around and under the bed, and began to make an unusual "grunting" sound, which later became a distinct purr. She would walk a few feet away from me, then come running back "grunting". When I would put my face next to hers, she would respond with a cat's equivalent of a head butt! It was too funny. As you may remember, Cecily the caged cat was somewhat intolerant of people trying to touch/pet her; and, picking her up was next to impossible. These characteristics, I am happy to say, were not long-lived. Ceci, the house cat, is now an inquisitive, jovial cat that insists on sitting on your lap whenever someone sits on the couch. She even has come to allow herself to be picked up without retribution. And, as for that infamous white leather couch, its her favorite place to interact with people. I am very happy someone took the time to rescue this lovable cat. I realize she may have had a rough start in the world, but she is at home now.

Hi, it's me, Kiki! Just wanted to show off a picture of myself sunbathing in my new window seat...
